Goodbye Summer…

When we got back from our Pennsylvania trip we were all exhausted…IMG_6296
But it felt good to be home so we dug in and did all the housework and gardening and cleaned out the van, and did laundry… I discovered that the plant I thought was the butternut squash was actually cantaloup!IMG_6302 IMG_6307 IMG_6308I realized how muscly Molly is! Check out those guns!

The kids and I went to the Davis County Fair that weekend.

We gave Molly her birthday gifts:

Getting back to making dinners…IMG_6409 I created an art nook in the play room so it’s off my counters!IMG_6412Found a pretty fruit basket and lined it with shelving liner.
IMG_6422 Did all my mendingIMG_6428Then I created the cape I’ve been meaning to make Thomas the whole summer.SONY DSC SONY DSC IMG_6437 ————————–

Garden is yielding lots of yummy food! The grapes were amazing!IMG_6441 Then I made bread and butter pickles out of all the cucumbers from the garden.IMG_6449 IMG_6464 SONY DSCI also made strawberry freezer jam. I will never use liquid pectin again. I am fairly certain it is mostly just strawberry syrup.

Back to School!

River is in 2nd grade! Which is the grade I first went to public school. I have so many memories from that year. I hope she has as much fun as I did.

About stacey

I am the Mom of two young, rambunctious girls, a curious little boy, and a wee little man who is bursting with joy for life. I just wanted to do something for myself that allowed me to harness the magical moments of being a Mom. (A job that sometimes feels thankless, misunderstood, and considered easy by those that haven't done it.) I wanted to be more positive by looking more closely at the good things that happen every day via photos and my thoughts.
