Garden Preserving, and Fall/Halloween Decorating…

Fall means Apple harvest:

Apple chips! Some with cinnamon, some without (for River who doesn’t like spices). IMG_6752 IMG_6753 IMG_6729Caramel Apple Jam

First time making this and YUMMO!

I’m going to use a bunch in recipes and then blanch and freeze the rest.IMG_6743 IMG_6741This boy stole and ate 4 tomatoes when I picked them this time.IMG_6782Biggest cucumber!

Fall/Halloween Decorating:

First project for the week of the first of Fall was this tree painting idea. Using hands/arms and fingerprints for trees and leaves. They did an awesome job!

They expanded the project on their own to make masking tape skeletons (second picture)! My kids are so creative!

Other fun crafty things we’ve done:

This is a Pinterest project Thomas and I did together that I never posted. It is a bunch of plane magnets. Thomas painted all the components and I pieced them together with glue gun. They turned out soooo awesome! Great for holding papers on the fridge (and entertaining little brothers).

About stacey

I am the Mom of two young, rambunctious girls, a curious little boy, and a wee little man who is bursting with joy for life. I just wanted to do something for myself that allowed me to harness the magical moments of being a Mom. (A job that sometimes feels thankless, misunderstood, and considered easy by those that haven't done it.) I wanted to be more positive by looking more closely at the good things that happen every day via photos and my thoughts.
