The kids love to play. They may not always play in the way I hope they would (with their toys and not my stuff…), but they are very imaginative.

duck feeding is a favorite of my boys’:IMG_7654 Thomas was sick for New Year’s eve, but he was super pleasant right through (it helps that he got to chow down on candy a bit):IMG_7601_2 IMG_7590_2

All the kids were sick for the week after Christmas…and well into the next week. One thing after another. It was no fun. But, I did get more cuddles than usual. :)

Another package from Grandma Wendy….and my siblings that were home for Christmas:

IMG_7674 IMG_7676 IMG_7675 IMG_7678 IMG_7679 IMG_7680If you couldn’t tell…they designed these monsters and then sewed them into stuffed toys! One for each of the kiddos. Seriously the coolest thing ever! Thank you!

IMG_7541First bath all to himself!IMG_7592_2A neighbor brought us a bag of beautiful dresses and Molly was in heaven!
IMG_7637Molly informed me one morning that her pinky-pie my little pony baby doll was having a birthday that day. She asked me to make a treat for it. So, I made from-scratch chocolate cake with broiled peanut butter icing. Delicious!

IMG_7692IMG_7738It’s never a dull moment with children.

Today I called poison control for the first time since being a parent. That is a very successful parenting career, if you ask me. 😉 Wesley bit into a tube of vinyl, fabric, and plastic adhesive and got it in his mouth. I rinsed it out as well as I could along with his hands. They told me he would be perfectly fine. Whew!

Tuesday we got some fairly startling news. But, it has created a sort of optimism, a sort of dedication to living life to the fullest right now. Don’t wait, just do it. I’ll reveal the news in greater detail when we are more informed ourselves. For now, happy thoughts.

Gotta love how life never slows for a minute ’round here…

About stacey

I am the Mom of two young, rambunctious girls, a curious little boy, and a wee little man who is bursting with joy for life. I just wanted to do something for myself that allowed me to harness the magical moments of being a Mom. (A job that sometimes feels thankless, misunderstood, and considered easy by those that haven't done it.) I wanted to be more positive by looking more closely at the good things that happen every day via photos and my thoughts.
